Dedicated to transforming lives through Christ-centered care, education, and community development in Kenya since 2011.
HVM Africa is dedicated to rescuing children from the streets, providing food, shelter, and a Christ-centered upbringing. We believe in transforming lives through education, discipleship, and entrepreneurial training, empowering the next generation of African leaders.
To see every child in Kenya have access to quality education, healthcare, and spiritual guidance, growing into self-sufficient adults who positively impact their communities.
We place Jesus Christ at the center of all we do, seeking to honor Him in our service to others.
We approach each child with genuine love and concern, recognizing their inherent dignity and worth.
We believe in the power of community and work to build strong relationships within our centers and beyond.
We equip children and youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become self-sufficient and create positive change.
Herb Veith Ministries is founded by Herb and his wife after a mission trip to Kenya. One orphanage opened to serve street children.
A second orphanage is officially opened in Oyugis, Kenya.
Brian Mung’Asia, who grew up in the orphanage, becomes Director of the Kakamega.
Herb Veith passes away. His wife continues the ministry and oversees fundraising and visits to Kenya.
A new partnership is formed with Pastor Gary and Kristin Hornsby in California.
At age 94, the founder retires and officially passes leadership to Gary and Kristin Hornsby, with Brian Mung’Asia joining as a Board Member.
There are many ways to get involved with HVM Africa. Whether through prayer, financial support, or volunteering your time and talents, you can make a difference in the lives of children in Kenya.
