Providing hope, shelter, education, and Christ-centered care to children in need across Kenya.
HVM Africa is dedicated to rescuing children from the streets, providing food, shelter, and a Christ-centered upbringing. We believe in transforming lives through education, discipleship, and entrepreneurial training, empowering the next generation of African leaders.
Founded in 1993 by Herb and Virginia Veith, Herb Veith Ministries began with a mission trip to Kenya that quickly turned into a life-changing calling—to care for the orphaned and vulnerable children living on the streets. By God’s grace and the support of faithful partners, the ministry established two orphanages in Kenya, providing love, shelter, education, medical care, and Christian values.
Over 30 years later, many of these children have grown into leaders in their communities. After Herb’s passing in 2014, the ministry continued under [Founder’s Name]’s leadership until 2018, when a divine reconnection brought Pastor Gary and Kristin Hornsby into the mission. Now based in San Bernardino, California, they carry the mantle alongside longtime orphanage director Brian Mung’Asia. Together, they are committed to continuing the legacy of compassion, discipleship, and transformation in the lives of Kenya’s children.
